Designed for even safer and more user-friendly handling

Bag features Labstellar Luer infusion bag Luer-Lock valve in detail

Luer-Lock valve in detail

1Safe and user-friendly handling
Integrated eyelet support for easy and safe handling of the bag during infusion.

2Highly inert material
The solution only comes into contact with polypropylene. Both the multilayer film and the inner membranes of the medication and outlet ports are made exclusively of polypropylene. Polypropylene can be sterilized at higher temperatures because it is more heat-resistant than other plastics.

3High sealing resistance
High resistance to pressure cuffs.

4Injection/extraction port
Luer-Lock valve for automatic locking, which allows easy, quick, and safe access to the inside of the bag by connecting a needle-free syringe or a male vial adapter.

5Infusion port connection system
Hermetic twist-off closure made of polypropylene for connecting the infusion accessories. It remains sterile until opened.

Instructions for use of 0.9% sodium chloride solution in Luer bags

1. Open the outer packaging by pulling the two layers of film apart.

2. The recommended method for removing the outer packaging is to peel off the film at one corner while holding the other film at one end to carefully remove the infusion bag.

The outer packaging should only be removed when the product is ready to be used.

Inspection of the bag

  • Visually inspect the bag for particles and discoloration.
  • Check for leaks by firmly squeezing the inner infusion bag. If leaks are detected, discard the solution as sterility may be compromised.
  • If the ports are damaged, detached, or missing, discard the product. The sterility of the solution may be compromised.
  • Only administer the solution if it is clear and the seal is intact.
Note: The compatibility of additives with sodium chloride 0.9% must be checked before adding a medication.

1. Connect a syringe to the Luer valve.

2. Secure the connection with a small twisting motion.

3. Add or remove solution.

Note: Before adding a medication, check the compatibility of the additives with 0.9% sodium chloride.

1. Remove the protective film from the blister pack containing the vial adapter. Do not remove the adapter from the blister. Secure the connection with a small twisting motion.

2. Attach the vial adapter to the vial without removing the packaging by pressing it vertically onto the surface until the adapter is fixed and the needle has penetrated the septum of the vial.

Note: Before adding a medication, the compatibility of the additives with 0.9% sodium chloride must be checked.

3. Remove the packaging.

4. The vial with the vial adapter is ready for reconstitution after being connected to the Luer valve of the bag.
